I know there's been a lot of talk in the last few years of 'Superhero Fatigue' but, to be honest, for me that feeling kicked in with the release of Superman III back in '83 - and I haven't really shaken it off since.!Īnyway, much more importantly, congratulations on your new four-legged friend. Heh heh, thanks Levcore! I'm pretty sure our tastes do cross on some of these things (I mean, I think we're both fans of Gods of Egypt, and that's a CG-laden film that most people seem to gleefully detest!).
I really love the first movie and this one looks like it has a bit more of a Jules Verne/ Ray Harryhausen adventure vibe to it. I do feel bad for not supporting a movie like this as it is something I'm certain I will enjoy. Since getting a dog, we hardly ever get to go these days as it's hard to find a dog sitter. I don't think I'll get the chance to see this at the cinema, let alone 3D. I really respect your opinion because you are refreshingly articulate and measured. I love your reviews Sam, although i think we are the opposite in terms of our tastes as I really enjoy big CG fests and stuff like this in general! You're one of the few posters on this forum who when you state how much you dislike something, you do it in such a nice way ha ha.
